As more and more organizations become focused on a cloud-first strategy, they often face business and technical challenges. The business challenges include slow adoption, obscure experiences, manual processes, and data silos; the technical challenges range from connecting between cloud, on-premises or hybrid applications, process automation, consolidated end-to-end visibility, unified API design, security, and management. To overcome these challenges, Gartner recommends having a Hybrid Integration Platform (HIP) instead of a task specific integration toolkit. Having a Hybrid Integration Platform will help the organizations with increased business agility, lower compliance cost, and rapid innovation.
Having Oracle Integration Cloud services (OIC) as your Hybrid Integration Platform will support various integration domains (application, data, process), persona based user experiences (integration specialists, line of business), full deployment flexibility (cloud, on-premises, hybrid), and various end points (mobile, IoT, chatbots). OIC helps in simplifying integration with pre-built adapters and integration flows. This supports intelligent process automation with end-to-end process templates, orchestrating services across human, robot, and chatbot as well as providing real-time insight for business owners and executives.
ITORIZON has been implementing Oracle Integration Cloud services for its customers to integrate their Oracle Cloud Applications with other third-party SaaS applications as part of a multi-cloud strategy including on-premises applications. This application integration streamlines their business process automation, helping them to on-board and respond faster while reducing risk.
ITOrizon implemented Oracle Warehouse Management Cloud and Oracle Integration Cloud Service for WMS integrations with Oracle’s NetSuite applications for this manufacturing services-based customer. Several integrations included Sales Order, Purchase Orders, Inbound Shipments, and Advanced Shipment notifications. The architecture also included external applications like PaceJet (Rate Shopping Software), True Commerce (uses EDI connected consumers), and involved customizations of NetSuite and LogFire(Cloud WMS). NetSuite was integrated into Cloud WMS using OIC, and NetSuite’s Sync Bundle was used for data mapping and translations. OIC integration was also implemented to connect PaceJet with Cloud WMS.
The challenges we overcame at the initial stage of implementation include:
OIC provides auto mapping and translation services across apps. This proven middleware solution simplifies development, activation, and management with a standards-based infrastructure that ensures interoperability among all types of applications.
OIC Implementation Best Practices and Lessons Learned
With the implementation of Oracle Integration Cloud, it can be concluded that there is an almost 90% reduction in overall processing time for building integrations between cloud-to-cloud and cloud to on-premise applications. We have also observed that there is a large percentage of reduction in errors, and near real-time data sync between systems can be achieved. ITOrizon has developed technical capabilities and accumulated vast experience in implementing OIC solutions across multiple applications. We are one of the preferred system integrators in enabling our customers on their journey to Oracle Cloud.
