Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to design, build, and scale AI/ML solutions powering
ITOrizon’s platforms and customer-facing products. This is a Python-first role focused on developing production-grade machine learning systems while working within a multi-language enterprise ecosystem. You will collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, explainable, and impactful AI solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and statistical models for enterprise use cases
- Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and model evaluation on structured and unstructured data
- Build predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics solutions
- Work with large-scale datasets, real-time data pipelines, and cloud data platforms
- Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize models using MLOps practices
- Develop and optimize models across:
o Classical ML (regression, classification, clustering)
o Time-series forecasting & anomaly detection
o Deep learning & NLP - Ensure model performance, scalability, explainability, and reliability
- Implement model monitoring, versioning, and lifecycle management
- Contribute to AI architecture, experimentation frameworks, and innovation initiatives
- Stay updated with AI/ML and GenAI advancements and apply them to real-world problems
Core Data Science & Machine Learning
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python (mandatory)
- Experience with:
- NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, SciPy
- Solid understanding of:
- Statistics, probability, linear algebra
- Hands-on experience with:
- Regression, classification, clustering
- Time-series forecasting, anomaly detection
- Experience with deep learning frameworks:
- TensorFlow / PyTorch
Data Engineering & Platforms
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and feature engineering workflows
- Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
- Experience with:
- Model deployment
- Monitoring & versioning
- MLOps practices
Engineering & Collaboration
- Strong coding practices and version control (Git)
- Ability to translate business problems into ML solutions
- Comfortable working in multi-language enterprise environments (Python-first mindset)
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Preferred Certifications
- AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate
- Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer
- TensorFlow Developer Certificate
Good-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to GenAI, LLMs, RAG, Vector Databases, Prompt Engineering
- Experience with real-time/streaming data or IoT analytics
- Familiarity with supply chain, manufacturing, or operations analytics
- Understanding of data governance, privacy, and responsible AI
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science and applied machine learning
- Proven experience building production-grade ML systems
- Strong expertise in Python-based AI/ML development
- Experience taking models from experimentation to production
