Ecommerce Fulfillment
The retailer specializes in selling counter and pop culture-related goods. They have 800+ stores spread throughout North America and Canada. Their e-commerce business does fulfillment internationally.
Design and implement a warehouse solution to support the client’s peak season while:
Maximize pick efficiency in the warehouse space while leveraging all existing equipment.
Minimize cost associated to the implementation.
Warehouse throughput should meet the requirements for peak season fulfillment by leveraging two physical Facilities.
ITOrizon designed and implemented a WMS solution leveraging Pick Carts to maximize the picking efficiency of the existing space. All existing equipment was reused in the new design including MHE Automation.
ITO utilized the US and offshore design teams to collaborate and deliver in 45 days.
An analysis was done pre and post go-live comparing the number of units processed before and after the new implementation.
The blue line represents the trend before the warehouse move, while the orange line reflects performance of the new warehouse.
It is clear the overall throughput is increasing based on the Polynomial trendline (green). This number will continue to increase while users gain more experience in the system.
The customer can be assured that this new solution will be able to meet increasing demand due to the picking efficiency gained from ITO’s solution.
