Finance Systems Implementation Analyst / Techno-Functional Consultant
Description

About Us

ITOrizon is a global consulting and technology company that helps enterprises design,
implement, and optimize complex supply chain and digital transformation initiatives.
Headquartered in Atlanta, USA, with offices in India (Bengaluru) and the UAE (Sharjah), we
partner with global clients across retail, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution sectors.

We combine deep domain expertise with modern technology to deliver practical, scalable solutions. Our teams work across strategy, implementation, and managed services — helping
organizations adopt leading platforms such as Oracle, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, and our next-generation composable enterprise platform, Karolium.

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Systems Implementation Analyst to act as a subject matter expert during the design, implementation, and optimization of our core financial systems, including platforms such as Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, Infor, Blue Yonder, SAP, or other enterprise ERP solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with Finance and Accounting teams as well as IT and implementation partners to ensure the system is configured correctly and aligned with accounting standards and operational processes. You will play a key role in translating business requirements into system configurations that support accurate financial reporting, streamlined workflows, and efficient business operations.

Responsibilities

1. Functional Consulting & Process Design

  • Requirements Gathering: Lead workshops with end-users (Controllers, Accountants, FP&A) to define and document business requirements for core financial modules.
  • Fit-Gap Analysis: Conduct Fit-Gap Analysis to determine if business requirements can be met by the system's standard functionality and propose alternative solutions or customizations where necessary.
  • Configuration: Perform hands-on configuration of the financial application, including setting up the Chart of Accounts (COA), defining calendars, configuring ledgers, and setting up workflows for processes like invoice approvals.
  • Process Mapping: Design optimized accounting processes for the Order-to-Cash
    (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R) cycles within the new
    application.

2. Testing, Training & Support

  • Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including Unit Testing,
Integration Testing, and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Data Migration: Work closely with the technical team on Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of migrating financial master data and opening balances.
  • Training: Develop user documentation and deliver training sessions to the Finance and Accounting staff.
  • Post Go-Live: Provide hyper-care and L2 support for initial production issues, transitioning into ongoing system optimization and maintenance.

3. Techno-Functional & Reporting

  • Reporting: Design and validate financial reports (e.g., Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) using the system’s native reporting tools (e.g., BI Publisher, Management Reporter, native reporting studios).
  • Integration: Assist in defining data mappings and integration touchpoints between the Financial application and external systems (e.g., Banking, HR/Payroll, CRM).
  • Security: Define and test role-based security access within the application to ensure compliance with financial controls and audit requirements (Segregation of Duties - SoD).
Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Financial Expertise (Must-Have)

  • Accounting Foundation: Strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS).
  • Module Expertise: Deep functional expertise in at least two of the following core financial modules:
    • General Ledger (GL) and Period/Year-End Close processes.
    • Accounts Payable (AP) and workflow-based invoice processing.
    • Accounts Receivable (AR) and Revenue Recognition principles.
    • Fixed Assets (FA) and Depreciation methodologies.
    • Cash Management and bank reconciliation.
    • Reporting: Experience designing and validating operational and statutory financial reports.
  • Implementation & Technical Skills
    • Proven track record of participating in at least one full-cycle implementation of a major ERP Financials or Accounting software (e.g., Oracle Fusion Financials, SAP FICO, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, NetSuite).
    • Experience creating queries for data validation or analysis (e.g., basic SQL).
    • Proficiency in using advanced Excel features for data manipulation and analysis during migration.
    • Familiarity with project methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile).
Education & Soft Skills
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (CPA/ACCA/CMA) is highly desirable.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills to effectively translate complex
financial requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.
  • Analytical: Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies and configuration errors.
